 "Man Up" Men's Conference          
  There will be a men's conference in Rutledge, Ga at Centennial Baptist Church on Friday Mar 2nd and Sat. Mar 3rd. The men will leave from our church at 5pm on Friday and get there by 6:30pm in time for the steak dinner. On Saturday the men will leave our church at 6am and stop to get breakfast. Dr. Emir Kaner (President of Truett McConnell college) will be speaking, along with Mike Stone, Jeff Crook and others. For more info. please see Nathan Kelly or James Taffar.               
 
 Men's Ministry Fish Fry
            The Men's Ministry is having a Fish Fry, Saturday, March 10th at 5pm to 6:15pm, at 6:30 Speaker will be Terry Hopkins, the Outreach Pastor of Centennial Baptist church. We are asking the men to bring a friend. 
 
Senior Saints Valentine Supper 
The Youth Group is giving our Seniors a Valentine Supper on Sat. Feb 18 at 5:30pm. Please RSVP by Feb 12.
 
 
 Food Pantry Needs 
            The food pantry is trying to stock up so that we can open it to the community and to members who have a need for it. Jan 29-Feb 12 - cans of soup, Feb 12-26 - cans of meat (tuna, chicken, spam, etc...), Feb 27 - Mar 11 - cans of vegetable and fruit. You do not have to wait on these dates to bring these items in, we are just trying to make sure we have enough of each before we open the pantry.
 
New Women's Ministry 
     The first women's ministry meeting will be on Thurs. Mar 1st in the old sanctuary at 6:30pm, Dinner will be provided.
 
30 Hour Famine
       Feb 24 & 25 will be an all nighter in honor of the children around the world who do not know when their next meal will be. The youth of Eastside will meet for thirty hours of famine and will do service work, pray, praise and also play. Each youth has been encouraged to raise funds for World Vision for each of the thirty hours they go without food. Thank you in advance for your support of our youth and also for the starving children around our globe.
 
Youth needs for 30 Hour Famine
     For the 30 Hour Famine the youth need all of you to pray, financial support to be sent to World Vision through the sponsorship of the youth, large cardboard boxes, paint, colored t-shirts and t-shirt paints, nice letterhead to be used to write letters to soldiers, and juice and water. We will also be writing Mara Claire, our six year old sponsored girl from the Philippines, and would love to use some girly letterhead paper.

 Prayer Time
A group of people meet in the library every Sunday morning at 8:40am to pray for our worship service. Everyone is welcome to attend.
 
 Worship Service Prayer Groups     
A group meets every Sunday to pray for our Pastor and congregation during the sermon, on a six week rotation. If you are interested in being apart of a small group Prayer Team, please contact a prayer committee member - James Taffar (Chairperson/Deacon), Marie Camp, Bobbie Hancock, Mary Ellen Rabe.

Each week, we will have one of our deacons that serve in this capacity. Their tast is to provide ministry as needed to our members and will be available as needed. Each week, we will publish who the deacon of the week is and their contact information.

              Sunday Night Services 
The Transition Team has decided that Sunday nights will be dedicated to family time, so there will be no activities at this time.
 
Wednesday Night Meal and Group Time 
Schedule/Cost:
Meal at 6:15pm, (cost $4.00 per person $12.00 max per family)
Group Time at 7:00
Reservation slips are in the bulletin and in the church lobby. Please fill out Sunday and drop in the offering plates or black basket on the table in lobby when you leave.

Friday Night Bible Study 
                   Friday Bible Study at Steve and Alisha Hill's house will be on the 1st & 3rd Friday's of each month, at 6pm.  Please invite friends that do not or cannot go to church on Sundays. Please bring drink or dessert. 
 
Team Meeting Schedules       
     Leadership team will meet on the First Sunday of every month at 4pm

This was anyone who has something that needs discussing or brought up in the meetings will know when they are meeting and can let the appropriate head of those teams know.
 
New Members Class
The new members class is going to be designed to make sure that all our members share the same foundation in Christ (we will go over Christianity 101 basics) - this will be geared more towards new believer's and people coming into the Southern Baptist Denomination from other Denominations.
We will do a tour of the church, share about the different classes and services that are offered at Eastside.
We will discuss tithing, opportunities to serve, and take the members through SHAPE to help them learn what their spiritual gifts are and how they could best use these gifts to further God's kingdom.
     The class will be on a quarterly basis and childcare will be provided.
